Strong Start

You are all in the Prayer Site of Avandra. Your friends from Jigow stand about 30 feet above you near the entrance of the room and from behind them you hear an explosion followed by falling rocks.

Scenes

Prayer Site of Avandra with the Rivals
- The rivals had been tasked by Elder Colbu Kaz to look into a rare red mineral that had appeared in Jigow. That search has led them here. They also began working with Aloysia Telfan with hopes of learning more about it.
- Ayo - is worried she may have lost the respect of her party because she aligned with Aloysia
- Dermot - is worried about the stress Ayo is dealing with.
- Galsariad - feels underqualified to be dealing with what they have faced so far.
- Irvan - terrified of dying away from beacon but has chosen to stay anyway.
- Maggie - is trying to figure it all out (ruidium, Jewel of Three Prayers, visions)
- Question - wants to head back to Ank’Harel and report what she has seen to her superiors in the Library of the Cobalt Soul
Friends of the Cobalt Soul (pg. 79)
- Question needs to tell her superiors about the missing expedition party and what happened in Betrayer’s Rise.
- Question gives the party a sending stone and says one of her superiors, Iwo Zalarre, will likely contact them in the next couple of days.
- Question also gives them a map of Ank’Harel
Cobalt Soul Mission 1: The Cultist of Zehir
- Question greets the party the following morning and says her superior Iwo Zalarre wants to speak with them.
- She leads them to the Temple of Mentor (HQ for Cobalt Soul) and up to Iwo’s office.
- Iwo asks them to follow a suspected spy, Laurin Ophidas, and find out what he is doing.
- He leaves shortly after and takes a carriage to take him back to his lodging in Scroll’s Alcove in the Sigil District (Sigil District Streets - S5).
  - Can follow in their own carriage (2 sp per person)
Cobalt Soul Mission 2: Half-Baked Scheme
- Seven days after the completion of the first mission Iwo Zalarre reaches out via sending stone.
- Wants you to investigate a local baker named Old Man Kruuk
  - Obtain proof that Old Man Kruuk is selling magic items on the black market.
  - Confiscate any magic items found at Kruuk’s bakery and bring them to Iwo.
  - 250 gp up front, 250 gp for proof, 250 gp per magic item retrieved
- Old Man Kruuk’s Bakery (River District Canal - Q1)
  - The place is closed but Kruuk is planning on selling a ruidium shortsword to Ashann
    - She can bid up to 2,500 gp
    - Will attack if someone bids more
      - Surrenders if reduced to 10 HP
- Seven days later they can officially join the Library of the Cobalt Soul
  - Each new member
    - Receives a monastic robe like those worn by other members (replacement 1 gp)
    - Free lodging (comfortable) in Ank’harel
    - Can buy spell scroll of detect magic (10 gp), spell scroll of divination (125 gp), spell scroll of commune (250 gp), and a pair of sending stones (250 gp)
